Pediatric Autorefractor plusoptiX A09 is a binocular hand-held
autorefractometer appropriate for infants and children. It provides
reliable measurements of refraction, pupil size, interpupillary
distance and eye alignment. It can also be used to assess
the accuracy of an eyeglass prescription.
Used in un-dilated pupils, measurements of hyperopia, myopia,
astigmastism and anisometropia provide valuable data in a pediatric
vision examination. Results can additionally be used as a
starting point for retinoscopy or to confirm retinoscopic results.
Unique features
Pediatric Autorefractor plusoptiX A09 provides three unique
features:
- measurement distance is 1 meter, i.e. 3.3 feet
- both eyes are measured simultaneously
- acquisition time is 0.8 seconds
These features make it a very effective tool for gathering vision data on non-verbal, uncooperative patients and children with nystagmus.
